Organisation -

Executive Board  
The Executive Board was elected by the the the first General Assembly of Members April 24th, 2009 in Rome for the term of four years. The next election will be during the 5th European Congress of Virology 2013.
It is responsible for all the Society's affairs. In particular, the Executive Board has the following responsibilities:
  • Preparing for and convening the Meeting of Members and compilation of the agenda
  • Passing resolutions on the acceptance of members
  • Representing the Society's interests in public, towards national and international authorities
  • Deciding upon the time and place of the European Congress of Virology
  • Advice of funding agencies and political institutions of the European Union

The Advisory Council consists of the chairmen of the committees and a further 12 regular members of the Society. The members of the Advisory Council participate in meetings of the Executive Board in an advisory capacity.
