Young Scientists Travel Awards

The European Society for Virology supports meetings in the field of Virology by offering travel grants for young scientists. Conveners are invited to apply for the allocation of travel awards to be granted to young participants of the conference.

EuSeV 2016 – Five ESV Fellowships

The European Society for Virology provides five fellowships for young scientists who are actively participating in the 4th European Seminars in Virology: Viral Oncology and Virotherapy to be held from 10-12 June, 2016 in Bertinoro, Italy.

The fellowships include the all-inclusive-registration-fee. Further information will be provided soon on the official EuSeV2016 website.

WAidid Meeting – Free Registration for Five ESV Members

The 1st WAidid Congress will be held in Milan, on February 18-20, 2016.

The organizers of the congress are very pleased to offer a free registration to the Congress for five ESV members, who could be interested in participating.

The Congress scientific programme will consist of plenary and parallel sessions and will focus on the following topics: Infectious diseases & Vaccines, Pneumology & Allergology, Autoimmune & Rheumatic diseases. A wide range of subjects will be covered, for example: emerging pathogens, new antinfective therapies, old and new vaccines, tuberculosis, asthma & COPD, new technologies, biologics and biosimilars, chronic pain.

ESV  members who would like to participate should just write an e-mail to the Organizing Secretariat (waidid2016@aimgroup.eu) by February 5, 2016. In case of more than five interested persons, selection will be on the first come, first selected basis.

ECV 2016 – 20 ESV Travel Grants for Junior Scientists

The European Society for Virology offers 20 travel grants of EUR 500 each for graduate students (PhD or MD) to participate in the 6th European Congress of Virology, held from 19-22 October, 2016 in Hamburg, Germany. Candidates should not yet have completed their doctoral thesis and actively participate in the conference. Applications including the candidate’s name and current address, conference abstract, statement describing the relevance of participation in ECV 2016 for the candidate’s research project, résumé, list of publications (if applicable), and a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s doctoral thesis supervisor should be sent by email to Prof. Joachim Hauber, President of ECV 2016 (joachim.hauber@hpi.uni-hamburg.de). Deadline for applications is 15 June, 2016.

Awardees will be selected directly by the organizing committee of ECV 2016 based on the scientific quality and relevance of their submitted abstracts.

Young Scientists Travel Awards for XVIth International Parvovirus Workshop

The European Society for Virology provides three travel grants for young scientists who are actively participating in the XVIth International Parvovirus Workshop to be held from 19-23 June, 2016 in Ajaccio, France.
